An accident involving a freight train and a bus from Viação Marechal resulted in at least one fatality and five injuries on Friday afternoon (17/11).

The collision occurred near the Balão do Setor de Indústria e Abastecimento (SIA) roundabout, which connects to the City of Automobile in Brasília, the capital of Brazil.
One of the bus passengers, 37-year-old Júlia de Albuquerque Violato, died in the accident. Images circulating on social media show that the woman’s body was torn apart following the collision.
Witnesses who saw the accident claim that the train hit the rear of the bus, and Júlia de Albuquerque was thrown out and subsequently hit by the train.
Videos recorded by witnesses capture the exact moment of the tragedy.
In addition to Júlia’s death, the tragedy led to five people being transported to hospitals in DF. Among them was Pedro Domiense Campos, 42, the bus driver. He was in a state of shock and experiencing a nervous breakdown but was not injured.
The train driver did not require medical attention.
